Prior to entering private practice, Susan worked in public settings, providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and their families. These included child protection services, and both statutory and non-government tertiary intervention services working with both children and adults. She has since gained extensive experience in community-based child and family therapy and has been in private practice for thirteen years. Susan has presented various conference papers relating to her work with children and families.

More recently Susan has undertaken further training and pursued her interest in the field of perinatal psychotherapy and service provision to this clientele make up a significant component of Susan’s current work. A current interest of Susan’s is working with couples facing challenges during the perinatal period to address concerns for their relationships with each other and their families. Given her family therapy background, Susan is interested in the application of systemic principles to working with individuals in this stage of life.
